Job Summary

Following the restructuring and sub-division of our finance function, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This role offers the chance for the successful candidate to evolve alongside our company as we embark on our next phase of expansion.

As a Financial Operations Manager in an innovative and dynamic tech company, you'll play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and optimising financial processes. Your responsibilities include streamlining processes, serving as a liaison between departments, overseeing credit control and legal recovery, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring robust cash flow management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to lead their team and foster their development while maintaining a focus on accuracy and driving the company toward greater success.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Streamline processes: Identify opportunities for enhancement of existing financial processes and develop and implement solutions to streamline workflows and increase productivity
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal departments, coordinating cross-functional initiatives to drive business performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes in order to understand their financial needs, provide support and guidance, and ensure alignment with overall company objective and strategy
  • Oversight of the credit control and legal recovery process, to ensure the collection of aged debt, taking steps to proactively reduce debt in its early stages
  • Manage the budgeting process, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Contract negotiations and procurement
  • Manage the short term cash flow forecast and liaise with stakeholders to ensure management of cash flow
  • Oversight of the daily hardware ordering and administration processes, liaising closely with the sales team on specific contracts and tenders to facilitate wider business growth
  • Management of the commission process, ensuring a robust control environment around the calculation of commission to a large network of partners across the UK
  • Collaboration with the Commercial and Sales departments on key customer and partner contracts and risk areas
  • Manage and develop the team
