With operations all around the world and its headquarters in Australia, Bovis has a very mobile workforce of more than 1,600 staff, from engineers working on sites to executives travelling regularly across continents, with the roaming requirements that entails. It is therefore vital for them to manage their mobile telecoms spend, deliver visibility over usage and have control over services such as barring particular usage types or setting up SIMs for new users quickly and easily.

They also use plan.com data in numerous ways, from attributing mobile costs to individual employees for accounting and management purposes, to incorporating it into internal reports, drawing information straight from the platform. my.plan has also enabled the team to see the impact that the growing use of increasingly important tools such as Microsoft Teams is having on data usage, so that data allocations can be adjusted accordingly in real-time, rather than having to do so retrospectively.

Though the ability to self-serve is a major benefit, plan.com also take a highly proactive approach to account management. “We’ve got an 8-terabyte data pool, but if we approach our limit we can anticipate that and create a bespoke bolt-on so we never exceed our bundle,” says Tim.
