The services provided by Suffolk-based Network 2 Supplies (N2S) go right to the heart of all organisations: for the last 15 years it has provided critical IT lifecycle support to government bodies and the NHS, as well as SMEs and corporates. That ranges from IT security and data protection to data destruction and IT recycling when they upgrade their systems, to sales and installation of new IT equipment. Most of its 100 staff work predominantly offsite, visiting customer premises.

First and foremost, N2S wanted better control of its mobile usage. The company was exceeding its bundle every month and, when it wanted to add new lines, its previous provider would not ensure that those contracts would co-terminate at the same time as existing ones, making managing them all harder. “It was just so awkward,” says Warren Tack, Technical Solutions Manager for N2S.

What’s more, since N2S staff are often dealing with systems containing sensitive data, strict security controls are required to be in place on mobile devices the staff are using. Having the plan.com APN (mobile data connection) and the dashboard analytics is extremely helpful for both imposing restrictions and curbing overspend.

I’ve not seen that anywhere else.

All in all, I don’t have a bad word to say. I just think it’s brilliant!

For someone who previously spent around a day per month dealing with “headaches” over the company’s mobile bill, that is a major plus.
